On March 23, 2004, the Government of Canada announced a new policy on the mandatory publication of all federal contracting activity valued above $10,000 as part of its commitment to greater openness and accountability in reporting the use of tax dollars to Canadians.
This website provides information related to procurement contracts, standing offer call-ups and supply arrangement contracts for goods and services awarded by the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor) or on the department's behalf by Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). The site will be updated on a quarterly basis to maintain an up-to-date listing of new contract activities.
The rules and principles governing government contracting are outlined in the Treasury Board Contracting Policy . The objective of government procurement contracting is to acquire goods and services, including construction services, in a manner that enhances access, competition and fairness and results in best value to Canada.
