Yukon Chocolate Company

The Yukon Chocolate Company is a family owned and operated company based in Whitehorse, Yukon. They are known for using high quality raw cocoa from around the world to create their products.

In 2020-2021, CanNor supported the company with nearly $100,000 to help them expand and meet the growing demand for their products.

With this funding, they were able to move to a larger facility and purchase new equipment which helped increase production, as well as add more staff and a retail storefront.

With CanNor’s funding, owner Sydney Oland was also able to realize an ambitious project and create a one-stop shop for locally produced fare.

She reached out to other local Yukon food producers who were also looking to grow and set up a collective food production space. This new space, called Yukon Provisions, is a partnership between local businesses Yukon Chocolate Company, Anne’s Dumplings, Landed Bakehouse and Daddy’s Doughnuts.

Yukon Provisions has not only helped small local businesses establish a store front and increase their visibility, but has also provided Yukoners with an amazing communal space to purchase fresh goods.

Yukon Provisions has quickly become a hotspot in Whitehorse, with customers lining up out the door and online, in addition to being featured in Yukon News and CBC articles.
